Tradition sign up for Nottingham Tennis Masters, 2009

Northern Vision today announces that Tradition, a leading global interdealer broker, will be the title sponsor of this year’s Nottingham Tennis Masters Tournament from 11 – 14 June 2009. Held at the Nottingham Tennis Centre, the Nottingham Masters is the city’s leading Legends tennis event. The tournament is organised by Northern Vision.

With such exciting names as Greg Rusedski and Britain’s rising star Laura Robson, I hope tennis lovers will enjoy this tournament," commented Tradition’s COO, David Pinchin from his New York office. "Tradition has successfully title sponsored Northern Vision’s sister tournament in Liverpool in the past, we look forward to continuing this partnership and bringing great tennis to more people in Britain."

Councillor Dave Trimble, Portfolio Holder for Communities, Leisure and Culture said: "Nottingham City Council is thrilled to be hosting this tennis tournament for the first time. The line-up for the event is fantastic and will give residents and visitors a chance to see international players and household names in action. With confirmation that Laura Robson is now playing at the tournament we hope that even more local young people will be inspired to take up the game."

Anders Borg, Northern Vision Tournament Director, said: "This is our first event in Nottingham and we believe we have put together an outstanding line-up of Legends for the tournament, a real cosmopolitan mix of past Champions, they include: Richard Krajicek, Greg Rusedski, Mats Wilander, Cedric Pioline, Mansour Bahrami, El Aynaoui, Peter McNamara, Mikael Pernfors, Ilie Nastase and Anders Järryd, as well as a British star of the future Laura Robson.
